Hanoi is the capital of Vietnam and literally means “city within the rivers” and has a population of 8.5 million. Hanoi temporarily lost its status as capital to Hue during the Nguyen Dynasty (1802-1945) and only regained it when Ho Chi Minh proclaimed the Democratic Republic of Vietnam for North Vietnam in 1945. After the end of the Vietnam War in 1976 and the reunification of North and South, Hanoi  became the capital of all Vietnam.

During the city tour, you will see the historic buildings, hear interesting stories about the culture and various ethnic groups in Vietnam. Our guide tries to give you up-to-date information about the lifestyle/mentalities of the people in this country and their expectations. The tour itinerary may change depending on the season. We are happy to respond to your interests and design the tour accordingly. You don't come to our tours as a package tourist, because we design and plan them together with you.
We suggest the following itinerary:
Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum (Only outside in winter), One Pillar Pagoda, Ethnology Museum, Western District City Tour, Temple of Literature, Hoa Lo Prison, Hanoi Opera House.
On Mondays the city tour is possible, but the museums and public buildings are closed. Please note.
